WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT DIVA RESTAURANT, BAR AND LOUNGE

Great place to throw a party in the city for any occassion

by Ceylac at Citysearch
If you want to throw a dinner party in the city for any occasion, DIVA is the place!!!! Not only the location and ambiance is great but also it is managed by very good, flexible, friendly people. You can actually enjoy the party you are throwing, in stead of worrying about the details, all formalities the other places make you go through … Diva has a laidback comfortable touch... they will do everything in their power to accommodate your needs... We had a small wedding party at Diva in November for 26 people. And it was lovely... They arranged a long&beatiful table decorated with candles in the center. We brought small center pieces and it was simple but very sophisticated. Everyone enjoyed the gorgeous atmosphere, good food and great conversation. They even let us choose the music we wanted to play... Special thanks to, Gaye (their manager) for all her help and being very flexible and accommodating... We felt like it was our own place! I will definitely plan more parties at Diva... Pros: laidback comfortable touch

Beautiful ambiance!

I was visiting friends, and they suggested to dine here. It is a very elegant and classy place. It is packed on weekends, you really have to make reservations beforehand. The wait staff is superfriendly, great customer service. The food is excellent. For my next trip to New York City, I will definitely stop by!
Pros: ambiance

Great Soho Spot!

We just happen to stumble upon Diva and are so glad that we did. The food here is so amazing!! Every appetizer we had was delicious. Their lobster raviolli is definitely a must try. The crowd is fun, but the place is not overly loud and crowded. A perfect friday night spot for dinner and drinks! Will definitely be back soon!

Had a great night. Good looking people. Amazing music. Pretty crowded and hard to move but it was worth it.
Pros: Music
Cons: Not a lot of room to dance – crowded

Smooth Party

by kurdelicious at Citysearch
I've organized a big last minute birthday party there on february 2007... We had a great value open bar, we were allowed to use their dj booth and play our own music, and move the tables aside to create a dance floor :)) All of the staff from the managers to busboys were very friendly. Nobody really had much of a dinner so i dont know about their food... The manager, maybe it was just the party organizer, her name was Gaye if i'm not wrong, was extremely helpful!
Thank you guys...

Stopped in for a few drinks with coworkers, it is a great place and the service at the bar was friendly and prompt. Great cocktails. My new favorite place to visit when on business in NY.

fantastic for parties

I threw a birthday dinner on Friday night at 8pm for about 13 people. The beautiful blonde hostess was extremely friendly to us (despite the crowds of people waiting for tables outside), the service was quick and efficient, the food was excellent (nothing cold!), and the manager was very very accomodating. The tab was about $650, which included an appetizer and entree for each person and 4 bottles of wine for all of us. The manager even threw in a huge home-made birthday cake for all of us. It was really a great night.
Pros: beautiful space, great service

My friend and I stumbled upon Diva on a Thursday night when were starving. Great martinis, very good food (try the tuna tartare), nice atmosphere and great service. I'll definitely go back.

great lobster ravioli's!!

by jenndemar at Citysearch
the only reason i go to diva is to get their AWESOME lobster raviolis. They really are the best ones i have i ever tasted. a little pricey but worth every last penny. diva is in a great location and is always crowded. if you later on in the evening, you will be crammed side by side with people, just so you know, but the lobster raviolis are worth it. great crowd.
Pros: lobster ravioli, chic place

Perfect for Business or Romance

by kathawk at Citysearch
When I lived in Soho, Diva became my favorite spot for taking clients and dates, and now that I live in Brooklyn, I still go back. Everyone always loves it. The ambience is great -- romantically rough-edged decor that's kept a little underlit, Latin music at a volume that allows conversation, and in the summer it's open to the streetlife of Soho. The food is just great, well-prepared and presented, and tastes wonderful. I've never had a bad meal in perhaps a dozen visits. The staff is friendly, alert and professional. And though there are usually plenty of gorgeous people there, it's also a welcoming spot for middle-aged post-hippies (like me). Totally recommended.

Satisfaction Guaranteed

Diva restaurant is ideal for people between 21-35 who can enjoy upbeat flamingo music while they drink and dine. The food is excellent, in particular the Red Snapper. Also delicious is the Farfalle, rich in a thick white sauce and sliced salmon. Their bread is the best I've had, warm and soft. Service is excellent. The ambiance is dim and sexy with candles on every table. The bartenders are attractive, attentive and quick. It's a cool place with good food.
Pros: Food, Service, Music
Cons: Should be larger
